I did this one because I love roses and it seemed like a good thing to practice learning more about colored pencil. The inspiration for this particular picture came from an art book on colored pencil.

You did a beautiful job on this rose! We must have been on the same page today.
ReplyDeleteLovely, colors, depth, edges!
ReplyDeleteThis is wonderful, Ramona! But I had to laugh, you're worse than me! Your last five posts have all been in a different medium! ADD? LOL.
ReplyDeleteRamona, this is gorgeous! I love these tipped with color roses. Your colored pencil work is superb!
ReplyDeleteSplendid job, indeed! It's lovely. nancy
ReplyDeleteA fantastic work I'd say! My mom loves roses too :) Yeah, I am married to a foreign place, very far away from my family, and no doubt that I am missing them all the time. I just need to get used to the change, and once everything is established then I'd be able to go visit home :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Great view of it straight down on top like that. Nicely done.
ReplyDeleteLovely drawing!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful drawing! Colored pencils are so meditative!
ReplyDeleteRoses are my favourites, but quite hard to do. You've done well with this one, coloured pencils are addictive?
ReplyDeleteRamona, you really got the form on this! I agree, roses are very hard to do, with their curling petals. Love all the colors you used here.
ReplyDeleteI wish my real roses glowed as beautifully as this.
