Everyday Matters Challenge #76 Draw a flower

My inspiration came from a picture I cut from an advertisement. I was able to practice doing glass, velvet ribbons, shading, shadows, and transition from above the vase to inside the vase. The shadow cast by the vase does not show up well here, but there is one to the right. This was done with color pencil.

  4. Great capture of the shape and "glassiness" of the vase. The tulip are colorful and so cheery, all in all, a very pleasing composition.

  6. Wonderful, wonderful drawing! I love the happy colors and your vase turned out very well. I think this should be made into a card! Oh, and great idea of cutting this out of a magazine for future reference!
