White Cat in Watercolor
Twenty years ago I painted in watercolor for a little while, but gave up when there was no one to encourage or share my love of art. To have people today to share my love of art is wonderful. I just came across my paintings from twenty years ago and wanted to share some of them with you. This is the last one that was painted back then.

I think this cat is stunning! I really mean it. There's something about it that just grabs me. Keep painting - you have a gift. nancy
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're sharing once again. You might want to consider making ATCs (Artist Trading Cards). Small format 2.5" x 3.5", great mail art trades at www.ATCsforAll.com.
ReplyDeleteLove the cat! And your skills show on this piece. Water colors are hard for me... no background or training... just experimentation. I get a "lightbulb" every once in a while but not many.
ReplyDeleteHe (she?) is gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet fluffy kitty! I haven't done much with watercolors yet. They look so pretty but I'm a tad afraid of them. You can't cover up a mistake!
ReplyDeleteHope you keep finding the encouragement and support you need. I find the cyber world to be pretty good at it.
Just lovely! I am glad that you are back to doing art-- I agree, having encouragement and folks to see your stuff really helps! Keep going!
ReplyDeleteRamona, what a beautiful cat! What a shame that your talents were tucked away for so long. But so wonderful that you've begun again. Keep it up, I'd love to see more.
ReplyDeleteWell, Ramona, I tucked away my painting for many years (>25). When I picked it all up again at first it was a struggle but then my muse found me and now I can't get her to stop chattering! The floodgate is open - and I am sure it will happen with you too, and you will be surprised at how quickly it all grows (especially with the encouragement of all the EDM folks)! I love this cat - I gasped! The gaze, the light touch of the brush. And your potential is way beyond even that!
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet face! You really captured a delightful personality here!
ReplyDeleteWonderful! All of the pieces are just Grand!
ReplyDeleteDraw and sketch everyday!

Great eyes! Love the expression. Yes, Yes, Yes, make art everyday.
ReplyDeleteYou meant to say this was done 20 years ago? O_O OH WOW! The colors are still as vibrant and everything every details are still so well preserved! This is just amazing.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ramona for your comment, and yes to Art, yes to Love ^^
